I've always liked the Trip Report page. Not a lot of activity here. I wonder if anyone ever checks the page.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into the trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves………John Muir

In the summer of 2006 I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Yellowstone 4 times. My favorite thing to do in the park is to hike. This is not a full trip report, rather it is a summary of the hikes I did this past year.

The first hike I did this year was to the top of Mt. Washburn in early July. One of my hiking guides says if you can only do one hike in the park this is the one. I can’t argue with that. The scenery during this hike is spectacular. I have hiked this mountain a bunch of times but always from the Chittenden side. In 2006 I hiked up the Dunraven side for the first time. It rained like crazy when I was at the top. I had the lookout tower to myself except for a Uinta squirrel. After the rain stopped I took a leisurely stroll down the mountain. The wildflowers were incredible.
