    Old Faithful, ‘nuff said 
This was our first stay at Snow Lodge, which is definitely is built for winter: the walls are thick, the glass is double, and the heating pipes are noisy. The rooms are comparatively large, very clean and nicely trimmed, with better bathroom and vanity facilities than the other hotels. Much of the décor is “neo-parkitecture” and I like it, but the room has a very dull framed old photo on the wall and they missed another great opportunity by using bedspreads with an undistinguished red-and-green plaid pattern on them. Is it worth the extra money? Well, only when nothing else is available in the UGB, or if you need a little break from basic-rustic.
