Ballpark, Eric and I spent the 4th of July enjoying a wonderfull hike up to Prospect Peak, over to Folsom and out along the old road past the cabin at Blacktail Creek. The weather was superb; just warm enough to keep from getting chilled in the early morning or late afternoon. The route was pretty much bug free except when we dropped down into a wet drainage.

We started out on Blacktail road at about 7am for about 2 miles (the road was closed to vehicular traffic) and then headed off trail up to Prospect Peak. This is a photo of what I believe to be ancient ruins perched on a hill facing the summer solstice. (More to come)
