Drove south to the Tetons. Stopped by the turnoff to Jackson Lake Lodge (where all the cars were parked) and saw a moose and her calf nibbling at the stream edge on the east side of the bridge. Went through the Lodge and hiked 1/2 mile behind it to Lunch Box Hill. Farther down the road, a short jog to Oxbow Bend rewarded us with a chance to see a bull moose and, from more of a distance, another cow moose. When we got there, the bull moose was lying down, but wouldn't you know, a touron with a camera got within 15 or 20 feet of it and it got up. Luckily, the moose started browsing rather than attacking the man. Other tourists followed suit, evidently without long lenses and intent on having a "close-up" photo. Later we hiked from String Lake to Leigh Lake and part way along its shore. The lake and views of Mount Moran and the Tetons were simply gorgeous. That evening the Bar J Chuckwagon south of Teton Village, like always, pleased us with good food and its comedy/western music show.
