    Roadie,

    To the left of the snag, if you trace the meadowed ridgeline as it recedes to the left and eventually curves back to the right: Looking above the small bison wallow on the right side of the ridgetop (long piece of disturbed ground is on opposite side of ridge), you can see the hill we descended to the north fork of Alum Creek during Opus 2. In back of it is a strip of forest, with the fire-burned hillside above it, where the Mary Mtn. trail heads for the trees.

    Also, further left, you can see the "alley" between the first two tree islands east of Alum Creek as it heads north-south through Glen Africa Basin. Behind the alley is the meadowy hillside to the north of Bombshell Geyser.
