After a long time we arrived at a thermal area that Gary said was Coffee Pot Hot Springs. There were a LOT of hot springs there. In the distance we could see and hear Upper Coffee Pot hiss and roar in some kind of periodic eruption. Coffee Pot itself went through a few periodic episodes itself, sometimes ejecting water from it's pool. Gary also found a few small mud pots. It was all very erie and other worldly.

Gary said I am probably the first plastic colt to ever visit Coffee Pot.

Gary says there isn't any real coffee at Coffee Pot. The hot spring just boils and makes a lot of noise like an old-style coffee perculator.
